Vino de España
Mosen Pierre is the oldest of the ranges of Wines of Spain that we elaborate. It was the first wine that the first generations of the family Fernández de Manzanos produced, when the appellation Rioja had not been founded. We still keep the old recipe that we use to elaborate a wine for every day without any other purpose but to brighten our life.
This range pays homage to the brand of the most emblematic truck that has accompanied the family Gurpegui Muga for so many years of their winemaking history. This is an old vehicle, still in use, that has travelled thousands of kilometres carrying our wines. We name this wine Pegaso because, such as Pegasus, the winged horse, it has flown all over the world carrying the good Spanish wines without losing its true essence.
The small town of Aldeanueva de Ebro is known for its agricultural richness. The town is surrounded by a sea of vineyards and most people make a living out of the elaboration of wines. But if we take a close look, there is one specific vineyard that stands out. This one has a little lagar (wine press) that make people admire and quickly identify it. The brand El lagar de la Aldea is inspired in the beauty that this vineyard owned by the family Fernández de Manzanos conveys.
